The Northern Michigan Learning Consortium has some older assessments aligned to the MC3 units available for the following grade levels and units:

You may obtain access to these assessments by e-mailing david.johnson[at]wmisd.org. The assessments are free of charge and were developed by teachers across the Northern Michigan Learning Consortium to help support the MC3 project in Social Studies.

PROCEDURES
ISDs within the NMLC Consortium
  1. We agree to follow the Guidelines for Use of NMLC Content Assessments as detailed below.
  2. By signing this Letter of Agreement, we are also indicating that we will communicate these guidelines and our expectations that they be followed with the districts we serve within our ISD boundaries.
  3. We understand that our signed copy of this agreement will be placed on file with the NMLC Leadership.
  4. Access to the NMLC Content Assessments will be granted once a signed Letter of Agreement is received and placed on file.


Districts outside the NMLC Consortium--If a district is interested in accessing the NMLC Content Assessments, they are to approach one of the NMLC ISD members.
  1. We agree to follow the Guidelines for Use of NMLC Content Assessments as detailed below.
  2. By signing this Letter of Agreement, we are also indicating that we will communicate these guidelines and our expectations that they be followed by the staff within our district.
  3. We understand that our signed copy of this agreement will be placed on file with the NMLC Leadership.
  4. Access to the NMLC Content Assessments will be granted once a signed Letter of Agreement is received and placed on file.


Guidelines for Use of NMLC Content Assessments


The Northern Michigan Learning Consortium (NMLC) has developed common end of unit or end of course assessments. Please use the same secure measures as adhered to for MME and MEAP.

  1. Access will be provided by yourIntermediateSchool District.
  2. Do not post assessments on unsecured web sites.
  3. If assessment is given via paper, collect and shred the assessments or put them in a secure location.
  4. If assessments are provided electronically, access will be provided by yourIntermediateSchool Districtfor a limited period of time.
5. The data from the administration of these assessments will aid in strengthening and improving the End of Course Assessments. Your ISD will be collecting your district data for this assessment.
